“I laughed. I cried. I cried again. I was inspired. I really really really want military occupations to end. I am in awe of this work of art.”
-Sadie Rosen, OJPL Film Critic
(2 Iune, somewhere ma ke ahupuaʻa o Honolulu) There are movies playing at the theater near the place that OJPL Games Consultant Dawn Sueoka works at sometimes, when she is not creating wondrous, possibly unsettling games (see Really If, Really Always). We highly recommend seeing the movies included in the Palestinian Cinema festival, especially Ghost Hunting (see content description in image below), which will be playing again today at 4:00, as well as Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday evening, assuming we are reading the schedule correctly. Excellent introduction by Cynthia Franklin preceded last night’s 7:30 screening.
(3 Iune, Mānoa) Don’t forget, OJPL Mānoa Branch is hosting its first Májiàng game today (Ka Lā Pule) at 3:00. Contact the Mānoa Branch for directions, or games[at]ojpl.org with any inquiries about past, ongoing, or future games.
