Change encoding of .csv file

• Open .csv file with text editor
• Save as UTF-8 encoding

Import csv file into sammaPrep

• Disconnect from VPN
• log into sammaPrep
• Tools→CSV Import
  • Delimiters should be other: ^
  • Text Qualifier: none
  • Start import at line: 2
  • the database fields should match the first row import fields after the file is loaded
• Load file: choose your .csv file
• Import

Input metadata into proper online document

• SAMMA post-migration document
  • Open csv file in openoffice with proper delimiters, etc.
  • Paste tape id and file name into sammaPostMigrationMetadata online doc
  • Close document

• Migrating with FCP document
  • Open csv file in openoffice with proper delimiters, etc.
  • Paste tape id and file name into Kingdom of Magic online doc
    • HKG ID, carrier number, pres file name, int file name, acc file name
    • Finish off file name appendages
  • Close document

Mark .csv file as Imported

• Navigate to IMPORT-EXPORT\MAVISexportforSAMMAPrep folder
• Move file into imported folder
